So. I've been instructed to post.

I have been. Just my-eyes-only, so's not to destroy the intarwebz with wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Fun thing: I drove down to St Louis last weekend to go to an SJ Tucker concert with friends. It was a house concert, small and intimate and amazing. If you have the opportunity, GO. It was wonderful hanging with mah buds again.

Fun thing planned: We're flying out to see Jane and my bro and SIL in Seattle at the end of the month. My brother might take us on a fishing trip, staying in a cabin on the San Juan Islands.

The deer ate my beans again, despite a good dousing of the sprouting beans with deer repellent. I'll replant and try row covers this time.

The chipmunks are once again swearing at us, every time we open the door. Cheeky bastards. I need a good hunting cat.

We buried Sarah, our beloved old-lady-cat, under a beech tree in the back two weeks ago. She weighed nothing by the time she finally gave up. She was 22.

Sorry to hear about Sarah-kitty. It's hard to lose a pet no matter what age they are but especially when they've been members of the family that long.
