The rug by the front door is straight.

Jane and Ember moved out last Tuesday. The rug has not been kitty-surfed since.

I also have un-shredded toilet paper rolls out in plain sight for the first time in two years. I look forward to not having to tell guests where the toilet paper is hidden.

But I still miss Ember's furry antics. My two old cats seem faintly puzzled by the peace and quiet.

I miss Jane dreadfully.

*snuggles you* it is hard when they move. I get to go through the big move out next month with the elder leaving for Nevada.

She needs to be on her own. This is a good thing. But, DAMN, Seattle is far away.

I can't bear the thought. Amy leaves for New York on July 23rd. I am excited for her, terrified for her, and I can't think what life will be without her here, even though she was away at school. She was only 1.5 hours then ... now ... I just can't think about it. It hurts too much.
