Apparently someone at Barnes and Noble has programmed the Nook (their e-reader) to replace the word kindle with the word Nook in books.
Therefore, in War and Peace, the phrase "It was as if a light had been kindled in a carved and painted lantern...." now reads "It was as if a light had been Nookd in a carved and painted lantern...."

Since the book was free and Tolstoy is long dead, I doubt anyone can do anything legally. However, it would be wonderful if INTERNET JUSTICE came crashing down upon their heads and the culprit was soundly ridiculed for this idiocy.
