My dad is in the hospital.
Apparently he had a TIA stroke Sunday morning. He seems to be recovering well, and has already regained most of his motor skills. He can walk and talk again, which he could not do for several hours. However, he doesn't have the fine motor skill to write. Noone knows if this is permanent or temporary, or what that means for other fine motor skills.
They kept him in the hospital overnight and will run more tests tomorrow. One of the tests is an MRI which he dreads. I suspect he is more than a little claustrophobic.
Dad has lived 30 years longer than either of his parents; he never expected to live this long. But he is fitter than men 40 years his junior. And DEFINITELY not ready to give up the good fight just yet.
